From cyber security and mechanical engineering, to criminology and languages, your students can discover what university study is like, while revising their favourite subjects.
Our subject-specific events, workshops and activities will help them learn about university, and support you in meeting Gatsby Benchmark 4 and 7.
Subject Tasters in 2025
Nothing beats getting a feel for a course by joining us on campus at our taster days. Buzzing with purpose and possibility, it's a chance for your students to get closer to the subjects they love.
Sport Science Taster Day: 10 March 2025
Your students will learn to apply scientific principles to help athletes to perform at their best with sessions including Biomechanics, Sport Psychology, Physiology, Biomechanics and Event Management.Â
Criminology Taster Day: 11 March 2025
Your students will go beyond crime theory, gaining hands-on experience with the justice system, exploring criminal psychology, uncovering forensic techniques, investigating police procedures, and understanding cybercrime.
Environmental Taster Day: 12 March 2025
Your class will explore Geography, Environmental Science, Marine Environmental Science, Biology and Marine Biology as they look towards tackling climate change and preserving Earth's natural resources.
Business and Law Taster Afternoon: 19 March 2025
Whether they want to explore the legal system, discover exciting trends in Marketing or gain expertise in the financial sector, your students will be able to personalise their afternoon with tasters from the world of Business and Law.
Sociology Taster Afternoon: 26 March 2025
Your students will embark on an immersive journey into human nature, exploring the social forces that shape our lives, classical theories of behaviour, happiness and wellbeing, love and relationships and more.
Maths and Physics Taster Day: 18 June 2025
Your students will explore the world of Maths or Physics as they get to personalise their day and experience life as a University student looking at the mysteries of the Universe or putting algorithms to the test..
