Jenny
Welcome to Rees Hall. My name is Jenny and I'll be your guide today. Rees Hall is just a stone's throw from the seafront, right on the edge of the common, beautiful views and fresh sea air, but still less than a 15 minute walk from the heart of campus. It's also one of our only catered accommodations. Rees hall provides you with your daily breakfast and dinner so you can stay fully focused on your studies. Rather than separating into flats, everyone has their own individual room with an en-suite bathroom along a communal corridor. As with all our halls, Rees hall’s bedrooms are furnished with a bed, desk and drawers, with free broadband and Wi-Fi and all bills are included in the cost of your room. Rees hall has two comfy social spaces, equipped with TV and games for you and your friends to enjoy. There is also a laundry and pantries on every floor where you can get access to a kettle and a microwave so you can heat up meals in between catering times. Rees hall has a desk is manned than 24 hours, ensuring that you'll never be locked out and you can always find support if you need it. You can find up to date information on our pricing and facilities at our halls by visiting port.ac.uk/accommodation. Thanks for joining me. If you have any questions, remember to reach out to our student housing team any time.
I lived in Rees hall so interacted with lots of different people in the dining hall and communal spaces. Events like movie nights were great ways to meet people with similar interests and to hang out with friends.
