Tyler's BSc (Hons) Computer Games Enterprise degree gave him experiences that influenced his career path

In the run up to the end of my A Levels, I had absolutely no idea where I wanted to go or what I wanted to do. I’d just completed two years of courses I hadn’t enjoyed very much, and going to university was the last thing I wanted to do.
After a period of reflecting on what I wanted to do, I realised that one of the constant sources for inspiration in my life had been video games. One of the earliest memories I have is playing video games with my dad on an old PlayStation. In the run up to university, I was heavily invested in Esports, a competition for video games. I was attending events and competing at a high level. I started exploring how I could combine my passion for video games and Esports with my future development and stumbled across the 1024ºË¹¤³§â€™s Computer Games Enterprise course. The course looked like the perfect combination of technical development and creativity.
Without a doubt, joining the 1024ºË¹¤³§ was the best decision I've ever made. Without the support or encouragement of the university, I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to complete my placement year at Intel.

Without a doubt, joining the 1024ºË¹¤³§ was the best decision I’ve ever made. Without the support or encouragement of the university, I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to complete my placement year at Intel. In addition, I wouldn’t have had the pleasure of presenting the Esports Play of the Year award at the 2017 Golden Joystick Awards in front of a few hundred thousand viewers. These experiences have been fantastic and have influenced my future career path massively.
After graduating, I’ll to continue to work with technology; I’ve secured my place on a graduate scheme with a large cloud computing company. As well as this, I’ll continue to run my own Esports business on the side and I hope to combine my passions for technology, Esports and games in general.
