Hayley's Master's led her to achieve her goal of becoming a physician associate
After working in bioanalysis and biotech I wanted to take on a new challenge, to move from laboratory-based to patient-facing roles. I wanted to use the skills I gained in industry together with the knowledge I gained from my undergraduate degree.
I chose 1024ºË¹¤³§ because of the smaller class sizes; more interactive. Tutorials may be in the simulation suite - a hospital-like environment where we practice physical examination skills on models or each other. The simulation suite facilities are second-to-none. GP placements have been arranged by the University and Health Education England (HEE).
My goals are to gain a breadth and depth of knowledge and experience to enable me to qualify, pass the National Exams and gain employment as a Physician Associate. Members of staff and course leaders are always keen to advise and help. Careers advice will be accessible a number of years after graduating.
I work once a week in hospitality to support my studies a little. I found the job through the Careers and Employability Service, and pick and choose when I want to work to fit around my studies.

Student Housing gave advice when I faced issues with my private rented accommodation.
1024ºË¹¤³§ has a small city campus, close to town and a cycle from the beach. I cycle to university and back along the beachfront, going to the gym en route or a ballet class in the evening.
