When you go to uni, it's natural to have concerns about money. You might be wondering about the cost of living, how to fund your studies or how to manage your money if it's your first time living away from home.
At 1024ºË¹¤³§, our finance team is dedicated to helping you manage your finances and access the funding you need throughout your studies. Whether you need help applying for funding or managing your finances, we've got you covered.
How we support you
Our student finance centre offers expert advice on a range of topics, including student loans, bursaries, funding applications, budgeting, state benefits, and debt management. Our advisers are members of professional bodies, ensuring confidential and professional support, where we'll always put your needs first.

Support for students in financial difficulty
We understand that unexpected financial difficulties put a strain on your ability to focus on your studies. So if you get into financial difficulty while studying with us or need emergency help to pay living costs, you can apply for help from our University Support Fund – once you're a registered undergraduate or postgraduate taught student.

How to apply
You'll be asked for:
- Your Student Finance England notification letter (if applicable)
- 3 months up-to-date bank statements from all accounts including savings
- A copy of your tenancy agreement or halls invoice
Our team may contact you if we need to discuss your application further. A successful award is usually paid by electronic bank transfer.
If your application is unsuccessful and you're unhappy with the outcome, there is a review procedure. To find out more, email our team studentfinance@port.ac.uk.
