Dr Thomas Kecker
Biography
Having started lecturing at the 1024ºË¹¤³§ in 2014, I am an Associate Professor in Mathematics in the School of Mathematics & Physics. Before coming to 1024ºË¹¤³§ I obtained my PhD in Mathematics from University College London (2010 - 2014), under the supervision of Professor Rod Halburd.
Research:
My research is currently funded by the EPSRC grant EP/W012251/1: ‘Geometric Aspects of Complex Differential Equations'. This project is about classifying nonlinear differential and difference equations in the complex plane via a geometric approach, using the Okamoto's space of initial conditions. I work on this project with one Senior Research Associate, Dr Marta Dell'Atti.
If you would like to gain more insight into my research you may want to watch the I gave recently at the CAvid online seminar (organised by UCL).
I recently organised the at the 1024ºË¹¤³§ (together with M. Dell'Atti).
I am Director for Postgraduate Studies in the School of Mathematics & Physics.
