Dr Helena Herrera
Biography
Helena graduated with a Combined Science degree (Cum Laude) from the University of Seville (Spain), in 1997. She then completed a PgCert Education before registering as a pharmacist in 1998. She then worked as a pharmacy manager while undertaking a number of post-graduate courses, including an MSc in Clinical Pharmacy and PgC in Pharmacy Management.
In 2006, she joined the 1024ºË¹¤³§ to be Course Leader for the Foundation Degree in Medicines Management, and subsequently, the MSc in Pharmacy Practice. She then gained additional qualifications, including a PhD and PgC in Research Methods.
Currently, Helena is Director of Postgraduate Research and teaches across a number of healthcare courses topics related to research methods, clinical practice and professional ethics. She continues to working in practice as a community pharmacist.
Research interests
Key interests relate to public health, in particular to health proteccion and environmental determinants of health and how these affect key populations
